Amrit Banaspati Company Pvt. Ltd. (“ABCPL”) was incorporated in 1985 (Under the name Amrit Enterprises Ltd.) and has evolved through multiple phases of growth and restructuring. Originally engaged in trading edible oils, the Company expanded into packaging, vanaspati and refined oil manufacturing, and later introduced a wider FMCG portfolio. Over the years, several group businesses were reorganized under a court-sanctioned Scheme of Arrangement, resulting in a clear separation of the paper, edible oil, FMCG, dairy, and real-estate verticals.
In 2011–12, ABCPL divested its edible oils business—including the Rajpura manufacturing facility and associated brands—through a slump sale to Bunge India Pvt. Ltd. Following this transition, the Company shifted its strategic direction and now operates as a private limited entity with its corporate office in Noida.
Today, ABCPL is focusing on building hospitality assets - developing and managing high-quality, experience-driven properties (primarily in Uttarakhand)— while also engaging in the trading of select commodities and products. The Company continues to deploy its surplus funds prudently across diversified financial instruments, reflecting a stable and forward-looking investment approach.
